    And language is a medium of communication. No doubt it is a natural human urge to converse and send messages to others.

    As a teacher or a facilitator we need to understand that mother tongue is an integral part of a language learning, so we need to consider it and need not to replace it inside the classroom. When a child is speaking or writing or giving the response we should allow the child to use mother tongue inside the classroom and eventually the child will able to gradually get the knowledge in the standard language and will start using it inside the classroom as it’s a process.

    Children’s literature is an integral part of language learning; it helps the child to understand language better. It not only gives you the opportunity to engage with the child inside the classroom but it also allows the teacher and other facilitator to get the knowledge and involve the child inside the classroom with the language process. It helps a child to understand and learn with the language learning process as well as it makes language learning more relatable to them.

    In the context of early literacy skills, language is the major component. Hence, it is important to understand that Language is a medium of expression and self-development.
    Languages of children are different and knowledge-embedded.
    Language is not only about alphabet learning but is about its usage in the social context specifically in the early years of learning.

    In the formative years of learning, language plays a key role in shaping the perceptions of children about the world.

    Languages of children are great sources for them to function in social and academy. All languages have a system and knowledge embedded in them.

Children learn best when they are taught through mother tongue/ language they are speaking. Being a multilingual state children learn more than one language at a time. Here we used to study three language at a time in the preprimary and primary stage. They learned it through the medium of language they know.

    Children learn best when they are taught in mother tongue and language they know. They learn it from watching tv, listening to radio, from elders, parents etc. Medium of language thus form the integral part of learning language.
